Annual Events

Investment Banking Forum, founded by UFA|UMCG, we organize and host this major forum every year annually with the Berkeley Career Center. Utilizing our existing relationships and alumni UFA|UMCG both invites banks to attend and markets the event on campus in partnership with the Career Center. This year we surpassed expectations by hosting over 20 firms and approximately 550 student attendees. Here are some of the companies that are expected to attend this semester.

Past Events

BAML Investment Banking Case Competition, we sponsored the 1st annual BAML case competition in partnership with the bulge bracket bank. The case offered students the opportunity to analyze the OpenTable IPO and present their findings.
Investment Banking Q&A Panel, representatives of Morgan Stanley, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Jeffries answered student questions related to investment banking and recruiting.
Real Estate Banking Panel with Morgan Stanley, MS professionals offered their thoughts on the real estate industry and the impact of the financial crisis.
Resume & Interview Workshop with Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, lead Merrill Lynch recruiter answered questions and presented techniques on how best to approach networking, resumes, and interviews.
Investment Banking vs. Consulting, professionals from both industries presented the unique aspects of both and offered advice on how students should approach networking and choosing a career in or the other.
Myth busters: Investment Banking Edition, Deutsche Bank professionals dispelled some of the commonly held misconceptions about the investment banking industry, spent time networking with students, and answered questions on culture and recruiting.
